The Gita is difficult to understand though

The Gita is difficult to understand though it looks easy in its apparent simplicity. It is as simple as it is suggestive. It is a book for the layman and is a riddle to the philosopher. It is said to be the quintessence of all Vedic knowledge. A verse in praise of Gita runs as follows:
Sarvopanisado gavah,
doggie gopalanandanah II
partho vatsaa Sudhir bhokta
dugdham gitamrtam II
All the Upanishads are the cows; Krishna the cow-herd boy is the milkman; Arjuna is the calf; the milk is the Gita and the wise man who drinks it enjoys eternal bliss. It is sarva Sastra hrdayam, the heart of all sastras. Whatever is true, good and beautiful is enshrined in it…
Ganga Gita Sabitri Sita Satya patibrata
Brahmabali Brahmabidya Trisandhya Muktigehini
Ardhamatra Chidananda Bhabagni Bhrantinashini
Bedatrayee Parananda Tatartha Gyan Manjari
II Jay ThakurII
II Sri Ramkrishnarpanamastu II
