One should learn how to be united with God; and through practice, when it becomes one’s second nature, one attains the goal. Then one perceives the presence of the Lord within and without, and consequently the changing circumstances of the world cannot perturb one anymore. It is not that disturbing elements do not arise, they do; but they come and go away without having any effect.

Pray to God with your whole heart. Say with great sincerity, ‘Oh Lord, remove my narrowness.’ If you call on him with your whole heart, he will remove all your imperfections. And read the descriptions in the Gita of the glories of God. They can be found in the ninth and tenth chapters; read these two chapters. But if you simply read them, nothing will be gained. You must meditate on them. Then only will you assimilate them?

Try to have the company of that Sat, or Eternal Existence (Brahman) who is within you. One should pray deeply and sincerely from one’s heart. Always be prayerful. The Lord will protect you. Have no fear. At present do your duty perfectly; again, when the Lord puts you to some other work, heartily submit to his will. Practice seeing God’s will and power in all actions. By doing so you will be free from all worries.

My optimal can be out into a couple of words and that is: to lecture unto humankind their eternality, and how to make it show in each development of life…. Striking words and bolder deeds are what we need. Wakeful, alert, incredible ones! The world is consuming with wretchedness. Would you be able to rest? Give us a chance to call and call till the dozing divine beings conscious, till the god inside responses to the call. What more is throughout everyday life? What more noteworthy work? The subtleties come to me as I go. I never make arrangements. Plans develop and work themselves. I just state, conscious, wakeful!

The primary extraordinary thing to achieve is to build up a character...Do not worry on the grounds that the world looks with doubt at each new endeavor, despite the fact that it is in the way of spirituality…Religion is its very own end. That religion which is just a way to common prosperity isn’t the religion, whatever else it might be;…Truth, immaculateness, and unselfishness – wherever these are available, there is no power underneath or over the Sun to pulverize the holder thereof. Outfitted with these, one individual can confront the entire universe in resistance. Most importantly be careful with compromises…You need to clutch your very own standards in weal or trouble and never change them to other’ “prevailing fashions” through the voracity of getting supporters. Your Atman is the help of the universe – whose help do you remain to need? Hold up with persistence and love and quality; if assistants are not prepared now, they will come in time.
