THE WOLF AND THE CRANE

THE WOLF AND THE CRANE

A Wolf had been devouring too eagerly, what’s more, a bone had stuck across in his throat. He could get it not one or the other up or down, and obviously, he couldn’t eat a thing.
Normally that was a terrible the situation for a ravenous Wolf. So away he rushed to the Crane. He was certain that she, with her long neck and bill would effortlessly have the capacity to come to the bone and haul it out.

“I will remunerate you in all respects liberally,” said the Wolf, “in the event that you pull that one out for me.”

The Crane, as you can envision, was uneasy about putting her head in Wolf’s throat. Be that as it may, she was getting a handle on in nature, so she
did what the Wolf requested that she do.

Pride Humbled II Sri Ramakrishna Namaha part –2 II ‘shivlinga’

Long ago, there lived a powerful demon king called Ravana in Lanka. He was a very strong, rich & powerful king. He had defeated many kings in the battles & so they did not dare to approach or challenge him. But at the same time, Ravana was a great worshipper of Lord Shiva. Once, Ravana had the desire to get a ‘shiva linga’ from Lord Shiva himself. Hence, Ravana went to Kailash to fulfill his desire. The gracious Lord granted him the ‘shiva linga’ and said “By worshipping this linga, you will achieve great Siddhis and Power.
You will able to gain the straight of the Mantras & will become a very powerful, but on one condition. After evening if you keep this ‘Shivlinga’ on the ground, it will stay on the ground only. It will lose all its power and you won’t be able to gain any strength from it.” Sage Narada who was observing all this silently became worried.
He through Siddhis. He will start harassing the Gods & Gandharvas. Therefore, he approached Lord Brahma & Lord Vishnu. They said that Lord Ganesha will be able to help him. After sage Narada to keep Ravana by taking with him till the evening. Sage Narada as decided talked with Ravana for a long time. Ravana had the habit of performing his daily evening prayers. He also had the Lord Shiva’s words in mind. If will lose all its power Ravana was getting very disparate as sage Narada was contentiously talking with him. He told the sage to go away.
After sage Narada disappeared, Ravana was in a dilemma. He could not find anyone to hold the ‘shiva linga’ until he finished with his prayers. Just then, he saw a young Brahmachari passing by that way. Seeing this Ravana begged to that boy to hold the ‘Shivlinga’ till he finished with his prayers. The boy agreed to one condition. He said I am a small boy. My words to be will not be able to withstand the weight of the shilling, then I will call your name thrice. After that, if you do not come, then I will keep it on the ground. Ravana agreed to this and went to offer his prayers.
He became deeply engrossed in his prayers. The became deeply engrossed in his prayers. The Brahmachari purposely stood for away from Ravana. After some time, he began yelling, “Goodness ruler, I cannot withstand (manage) this weight. “then he called Ravana thrice. Ravana as soon as he heard this ran toward the boy and tried his best to reach him, but it was all in vain. Before Ravana reached, the boy had kept the ‘Shivlinga’ down on the ground. That boy was none other than Lord Ganesha himself.
He prevented Ravana from achieving those Siddhis and thus saved the gods. That is why he is called Vighneshwara that is the savior of difficulties. Let us pray to him so that he may grant us knowledge and lead us on the right path. The victory of Lord Ganesha.

Sri Ramakrishna Namaha

Pride Humbled

“I really have a lot of wealth and riches with me. I am the richest of all. None is equivalent to me.” Bragged Kubera the God of riches that he once chose to welcome Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati, and Ganesh for the dinner at his divine kingdom of Alkapuri and show them all his riches.

Accordingly, Kubera went to Kailash to invite the trinity.

Lord Shiva replied, “We accept your invitation.

We’ll be here soon. “Ganesh heard this and was very happy. He also knew the invitation behind which Kubera had invited them. He decided to teach him a lesson. Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati, and Ganesh accompanied Kubera to Alkapuri. Kubera was constantly bragging about his beautiful city. At last, they reached the place entrance. A grand welcome was extended to the trinity before they reached the place. Kubera proudly strutted along the corridors hoping Ganesh was noticing his prosperity! Soon they were led to an even more beautiful dining area. Servants

carrying trays served with food lined the hall. Apparently overjoyed, Ganesh sat down to eat. Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati were watching what was happening. They kept silent and smiled at each other because they knew that their son was going to teach Kubera a lesson. Ganesh finished all the food that was served to him. “Bring me more food. Bring me all the cooked food from the kitchen.” He said. The palace servants all hurried to the kitchen piling food into Ganesh’s plate.

Ganesh ate and ate. Dishes emptied faster than they could be filled. “I am still hungry. Is that all? Go, get me more cooked food from the kitchen.” Said Ganesh. The servants ran helter-skelter and started cooking in the kitchen as all the cooked food was finished by Ganesh! But Ganesh Said, “Not even half of my apatite is full. Get me fast. I am hungry.” Again the cooked food was brought. But Ganesh emptied the vessels in no time. He demanded more food.

“The food is finished, sir.” The head cook whispered to Kubera. Ganesh heard that bellowed, “What, food is finished! But I am still hungry,” Ganesh grabbed his plate and munched it up. The servants as well asKubera shrank. Ganesh ran to the kitchen and began to eat empty vessels too! Then he went to Kubera’s treasury and began eating the pearls of gold and gems. Kubera saw his boundless treasure dividing before his eyes. He could have cried in anguish.

His treasury had never stood empty. Still, Ganesh was not satisfied. Ganesh went on eating everything that came his way! Gasp! Even the furniture, the palace, the gardens, everything! He began to eat through the city of Alkapuri too! Kubera stood in front of Ganesh with folded hands begging him not to destroy the city.

Hearing this, Ganesh stared to Kubera and said, “Since there is nothing left to eat, I think I’ll eat you.” Kubera fled with Lord Ganesh following behind him. He shrank. He went and fell at the feet of Shiva and begged him to save him from Ganesh, “Almighty! Help me. Ganesh eating everything his hunger is insatiable.

He is threatening to eat me too!” Shiva smiled and said, “Kubera take this roasted rice and feed Ganesh.” Kubera bowed humbly to Ganesh and served him. Ganesh ate the rice and suddenly he was not hungry anymore. “I am full now,” Sighed Ganesh. Kubera realized his mistake. He saw Ganesh and Shiva smiling at each other and realized he had been guilty of pride and vanity. He said, “Lord, you have opened my eyes.
Forgive me.” Thus saying, Kubera left. He realized that whatever he had was all because of the Lord. Later Kubera thought to himself, “Lord Ganesh taught me a good lesson.
By demanding more food, he showed me that even the most delicious food brought to him with an intention of showing off brings no satisfaction. Yet, just a handful of ordinary roasted rice given with love and devotion gave him so much of contentment and he was happy. I bow unto the lord for humbling my pride.”.

HE BUNDLE OF STICKS

HE BUNDLE OF STICKS

A specific Father had a group of Sons, who were until the end of time quarreling among themselves. No words he could state did the slightest great, so he cast about in his psyche for some extremely striking precedent that should make them see that dissension would lead them to the incident. One day when the quarreling had been substantially more rough than normal what’s more, every one of the Sons was sulking in a surly way, he asked one of them to present to him a heap of sticks. At that point giving the package to every one of his Sons thus he instructed them to endeavor to break it. Yet albeit every one attempted his best, none could do as such.

The Father then loosened the package and gave the adheres to his Sons to break one by one. This they did effectively. “My Sons,” said the Father, “do you not perceive how certain it is that on the off chance that you concur with one another and help one another, it will be outlandish for your foes to harm you? Be that as it may, in the event that you are separated among yourselves, you will be no more grounded than a solitary stick in that package.”

THE FOX AND THE GRAPES

THE FOX AND THE GRAPES

A Fox one day saw a lovely bundle of ready grapes swinging from a vine prepared along the parts of a tree. The grapes appeared prepared to overflow with juice, and Fox’s mouth watered as he looked longingly at them. The cluster swung from a high branch, and the Fox needed to hop for it. The first occasion when he hoped he missed it by far. So he strolled off a short separation and took a running jump at it, as it were to miss the mark yet again. Over and over he attempted, however futile. Presently he sat down and took a gander at the grapes in appalling. “What a trick I am,” he said. “Here I am destroying myself to get a cluster of harsh grapes that are not worth expanding for.” Also, off he strolled, derisively.

THE TOWN MOUSE AND THE COUNTRY MOUSE

THE TOWN MOUSE AND THE COUNTRY MOUSE

A Town Mouse once visited a relative who lived in the nation. For lunch, the Country Mouse served wheat stalks, roots, and oak seeds, with a dash of virus water for the beverage. The Town Mouse ate all around sparingly, snacking a tad bit of this and a tad bit of that, what’s more, by her way making it plain that she ate the basic sustenance just to be obliging. After the feast the companions had a long talk, or rather the Town Mouse discussed her life in the city while the Country Mouse tuned in. They at that point hit the hay in a comfortable home in the hedgerow, what’s more, rested in calm and solace until morning. In her rest, the Nation Mouse envisioned she was a Town Mouse with every one of the extravagances furthermore, pleasures of city life that her companion had portrayed for her. So the following day when the Town Mouse asked the Country Mouse to go home with her to the city, she happily said yes. When they achieved the chateau in which the Town Mouse lived, they found on the table in the lounge area the leavings of an exceptionally fine feast. There were sweetmeats and jams, baked goods, delectable cheeses, in reality, the most enticing sustenances that a Mouse can envision

. In any case, similarly, as the Country Mouse was going to snack a dainty piece of baked good, she heard a Cat mew boisterously and scratch at the entryway. In extraordinary dread the Mice rushed to a concealing spot, where they lay very still for quite a while, scarcely setting out to relax. At the point when finally they wandered back to the gala, the entryway opened abruptly and in came the workers to gather the dishes, pursued by the House Dog. The Country Mouse halted in the Town Mouse’s nook just long enough to get her floor covering pack an umbrella. “You may have extravagances and dainties that I have not,” she said as she rushed away, “however I incline toward my plain sustenance and straightforward life in the nation with the harmony and security that run with it.” _Poverty with security is superior to bounty amidst dread

what’s more, uncertainty._

HERCULES AND THE WAGONER

HERCULES AND THE WAGONER

A Farmer was driving his wagon along a miry country road after a heavy rain. The horses could hardly drag the load through the deep mud, and at last, came to a standstill when one of the wheels sank to the hub in a rut. The farmer climbed down from his seat and stood beside the wagon looking at it but without making the least effort to get it out of the rut. All he did was to curse his bad luck and call loudly on Hercules to come to his aid. Then, it is said, Hercules really did appear, saying: “Put your shoulder to the wheel, man, and urge on your horses. Do you think you can move the wagon by simply looking at it and whining about it? Hercules will not help unless you make some effort to help yourself.” And when the farmer put his shoulder to the wheel and urged on the horses, the wagon moved very readily, and soon the Farmer was riding along in great content and with a good lesson learned. _Self help is the best help._ _Heaven helps those who help themselves._ [Illustration]

THE BOY AND THE FILBERTS

A Boy was offered authorization to put his hand into a pitcher to get a few filberts. Yet, he took such an incredible fistful, to the point that he proved unable to draw his distribute once more. There he stood, unwilling to surrender a single filbert but then unfit to get them hard and fast without a moment’s delay. Vexed also, disillusioned he started to cry. “My kid,” said his mom, “be happy with a large portion of the nuts you have taken and you will effortlessly get your distribute. At that point maybe you may have some more filberts later.”
